I’m extremely excited that Obama won Iowa. I know that it is just one step in a long line, but it is a great start. He has something that the American public has not seen in a long while: values. He is able to be optomistic because he knows that he is capable of holding true to his core values under political stress. He reminds me a little of Jimmy Carter. Since I love Jimmy Carter that is a good thing, but many people feel otherwise. Jimmy Carter was our most ineffective president ever because he was unwilling to compromise his values. That is an admirable quality in any human being. Why should we not expect and admire that in our politicians? As a nation we should be embarrassed that we are willing to except this.
